Retro clay brick tile building-Zhejiang University Zhoushan Campus
The project of Zhoushan Campus of Zhejiang University is designed by Dean Li Bing, the national first-class registered architect, and designed by the Second Architectural Design and Research Institute.
The planning and design fully reflect the natural conditions of the base of “mounting the mountains and melting the lake, relying on the sea as the neighbor”, highlighting the “landscape” elements, and strengthening the “ocean” features. The exterior wall is made of traditional red brick (LOPO retro clay brick tile) with ” The style principle of “Chinese traditional elements, Zheda’s historical heritage” has made breakthroughs and innovations while inheriting the old Zheda’s traditional context. The Zhoushan campus has become a beautiful business card for Zhejiang University and the Zhoushan National New District.

The college uses lopo terracotta three-hole hand-made retro clay brick tile, dark red retro clay brick tile is added to the outer wall arrangement, and the retro eaves roof makes the school more quaint and book-like, matching the eaves architecture.
Clay brick tiles are arranged in intervals in the college building, with gaps between the bricks, like an ancient screen, which adds a piece of history to this campus.
