From Clay Tiles to Architectural Terracotta
LOPO began developing clay tile products in Fujian in 2002 and later expanded into architectural terracotta facade materials. The timeline below summarizes the company’s principal manufacturing and product-development milestones.

The Beginning in Fujian
Work began on LOPO’s clay tile production base in Nan’an, Fujian, establishing the foundation for the company’s later development in architectural clay products.
Expanding Materials and Finishes
LOPO produced vacuum-extruded clay tiles and expanded its range to include handmade products, blended-color surfaces and metallic finishes.
Building Dedicated Capacity
The clay tile production base expanded, and work began on a dedicated terracotta panel facility in Changtai, Fujian, supporting a broader range of facade applications.
Moving Further into Facade Products
LOPO expanded into architectural terracotta rainscreen products and added production space and equipment for panels, tiles and project-specific facade elements.
Developing Profiles and Surface Options
Digital inkjet technology, curved profiles and glazed finishes were added to the architectural terracotta range, giving designers more options for color, texture and facade geometry.
Integrating New Processes
LOPO continued to update raw-material preparation and added equipment supporting glazed and digital inkjet finishes. The product range also expanded to include larger and more specialized facade elements, subject to profile and project requirements.
Project-Focused Development
LOPO continues to develop terracotta panels, louvers, bricks, tiles and custom profiles for facade projects in China and international markets, with project-specific review of dimensions, finishes and technical requirements.
