Select a wood-look terracotta finish as part of the elevation
A wood-look terracotta finish uses colour and grain-like graphics to create a timber-inspired appearance on a fired-clay panel. It is not solid wood, and one product photograph cannot define the acceptable colour range, pattern repeat, module or installed result.
It preserves LOPO’s dated PW625 record and the complete three-reference board, then turns them into a project checklist for samples, pattern mapping and mock-up approval.

Historical factory note: the 2016 page stated a 260 m roller kiln, an 80,000 m² open yard, 150,000 tons of indoor storage and six months of production support. These are dated claims, not current capacity or delivery evidence.

Plan grain, repeat and colour before ordering
A wood-look effect is read across many panels and joints. The elevation, not an isolated sample, is the correct scale for controlling repetition and variation.
Grain direction and orientation
Define horizontal or vertical intent and confirm whether panels may be rotated or mirrored.
Pattern repeat and sequencing
Map the current pattern set over representative bays and document sequencing or controlled randomization.
Panel module and joints
Coordinate print scale with panel dimensions, joints, openings, corners and cut pieces.
Colour range and lighting
Compare representative pieces under relevant light and viewing distance, then define the accepted range.
- Confirm the current product/profile, finish references and physical sample range.
- Map grain direction, pattern variants, repeat and joints on representative elevations.
- Review adjacent full-size panels or a project mock-up and approve a dated control range.
Do not convert a wood appearance into a performance claim
“Wood-look” describes visual intent. It does not mean the panel is timber, and it does not automatically prove how the selected product or complete wall will perform.
Colour range, grain-like graphic, repeat, orientation, texture and approved visual sample
Current model, geometry, dimensions, material data, finish data and applicable product tests
Fixings, rails, anchors, cavity, insulation, membranes, fire barriers, backing wall and interfaces
Obtain current product evidence for fire reaction, weathering, freeze–thaw, colour retention, water absorption and cleaning. Structural, facade-fire, water, thermal and acoustic outcomes require assembly evidence; a 2016 photograph, “natural clay” or 3D inkjet wording cannot prove them.
A timber-inspired appearance or clay content also proves no environmental outcome. If an EPD, HPD or certificate is required, verify its date, product, factory, scope and project acceptance. No low-carbon, recyclable, zero-pollution or environmentally superior claim is made.
Application boundary: the legacy list of walls, stations, tunnels, roofs, ceilings and controlled spaces is not evidence of suitability or compliance. Review every proposed use separately.
