Control production batches and changes
Purchase documents should identify exact profile, treatment route, finish code, fired range, viewing face, evidence and inspection records. Link lots to approved samples and process revisions. If raw-material blend, firing, printing, glaze, engobe, texture or another confirmed process changes, assess the visual and evidence implications before release.
Plan lot distribution where the architectural intent depends on controlled blending. Keep nonconforming pieces segregated and document disposition.
