This case archive documents white-and-grey terracotta facade panels on residential towers at Gemdale Tianji in Changzhou.
LOPO’s April 2018 article did not name the development, but its address and distinctive marketing description match published records for 金地天际. The replacement keeps the three original images and dated panel schedule while making the unresolved building phase, project team, dates and contract scope explicit.
Project identity and location evidence
The old page locates the work near Feilong West Road and Tianshan Road in Xinbei District and describes a residential project beside Feilong Sports Park and the Tongzi River. Those details reproduce the published profile of 金地天际. A 2018 Xinbei District government community record lists both 金地天际苑 and 金地天际雅居 in Feilong community, supporting the wider identity but not a precise photographed phase.
A Gemdale financial record lists Changzhou Tianji Yaju as a project begun in July 2011 with a then-forecast later batch completion in August 2019. That corporate schedule does not prove when the photographed towers or facade package were completed. The April 2018 post date is therefore retained only as the archive publication date.

White-and-grey panel composition
The tower elevations use pale panel bands around repeated balcony and window openings, with darker grey fields defining corners and vertical strips. Projecting roof slabs and a heavier lower-storey treatment frame the taller residential volumes. These are visual observations, not an attribution of architectural intent.

The former copy described a combination from light grey to dark grey and ascribed a specific aesthetic idea to unnamed architects. Without a project statement or credited design team, the replacement describes the visible arrangement only and does not assign motives or authorship.
Dated panel schedule
| Field | 2018 archive record | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Product type | Hollow Structure Terracotta Facade Panel | Historical description; current product and system must be confirmed |
| Colour | White and grey; light-to-dark grey combination | No sample set, range limits, batch or approval record supplied |
| Items | F431801 / F431887 / Fl431884 / F291880 / F291888 | Fl431884 is retained exactly; the second character may be a source typo and requires verification |
| Thickness/designation | T18 | The source wording is unclear; do not convert it to a dimension without a matching data sheet |
| Total quantity | 13,113 m² | Exact buildings, elevations, take-off method and supplied/installed scope are not stated |
| Production | Former page claimed the whole quantity was fired in one run | No production or batch record supports the claim; it is not presented as verified |
Close facade views retained intact
The third original file is itself a two-view composite. Its left side shows the junction of windows, grey vertical cladding and pale balcony bands; its right side shows repeated recessed balconies. It remains one complete, clickable image so neither reference view is cropped away.

Panel module and colour
Coordinate item codes, dimensions, joint grid, light-to-dark colour distribution, corners, returns, soffits and approved range samples for the selected buildings.
Windows and balconies
Assign perimeter seals, flashings, sills, drainage, thresholds, guard interfaces and tolerances across the complete enclosure design.
Vertical and horizontal transitions
Detail changes between pale bands, grey fields, tower corners, podium/base, roof projections and adjoining materials without relying on photographs.
Residential maintenance
Plan safe access, inspection, cleaning, sealant work and panel replacement while protecting residents, balconies and areas below.
System performance is not established by the archive
The images and short product schedule do not show the complete wall build-up, brackets, anchors, rails, cavity, insulation, membranes, fire barriers, flashings or slab-edge interfaces. They do not prove wind resistance, seismic movement, fire behaviour, water management, freeze-thaw resistance, durability, thermal/acoustic performance or falling-object safeguards.
- building/phase identity, elevations, survey, substrate and responsible design/engineering parties;
- current panel codes, dimensions, tolerances, colour range, quantities and approved physical samples;
- complete support and enclosure build-up, loads, anchors, movement, joints and replacement access;
- windows, balconies, corners, base, roof, drainage, waterproofing and adjoining-material interfaces;
- project-specific structural, fire, weather, thermal, acoustic, impact and maintenance requirements; and
- governing standards, authority approvals, calculations/tests, representative mock-up and inspection records.
The source does not identify LOPO as developer, architect, engineer, main contractor, facade contractor or installer. The recorded product association and quantity do not define contractual responsibility.
