The appearance of natural terracotta develops through raw material composition, forming, drying and firing. This creates a richer reading than a single flat paint colour. It also means that a project should define a realistic approved range rather than expect every panel to look identical.
Warm architectural palette
Natural clay directions can support contemporary, institutional, residential and cultural architecture. The selected tone should be approved using physical samples viewed under relevant lighting.
Subtle variation
Small tonal shifts can add depth across a large elevation. Sample boards and mock-ups help the design team agree how panels from production batches will be distributed.
Compatible composition
Natural terracotta can be coordinated with glass, metal, concrete, masonry and landscape materials. Junctions and runoff conditions should be detailed for the actual combination.

Digital images are useful for establishing a colour direction, but they cannot reliably show fired-clay nuance. LOPO can review the requested colour family, panel format and surface direction, then advise whether an existing option or project-specific development is appropriate. Final production should refer to an approved physical standard.
The ventilated rainscreen build-up—including rails, anchors, cavity, insulation, membranes, joints and perimeter interfaces—must be designed for the project. Natural finish describes the visible panel surface; it does not by itself determine wall-system performance.
