Engraved Terracotta for Custom Patterns and Feature Walls
Engraved terracotta turns a repeated panel surface into an architectural graphic. Lines, motifs, lettering or abstract relief can be developed for residential projects, hotels, lobbies, conference rooms and image walls where the material is intended to communicate identity as well as finish.

Translate artwork into a repeatable terracotta panel system
A successful engraved wall begins with the intended viewing distance and overall composition, then works back to the panel module and feasible relief. Some designs repeat within every panel; others spread one image or pattern across multiple pieces. Joint position, corner conditions and installation sequence therefore become part of the artwork.
Residential features
Textured entrance walls, courtyard screens and interior focal points can introduce craft and warmth without filling an entire elevation.
Hotels and lobbies
Custom motifs can support a hospitality concept or local narrative. Lighting direction should be tested because shallow relief depends on shadow to remain legible.
Conference and image walls
Patterns, names or abstract graphics can define a meeting area or brand wall. Artwork rights, scale, resolution and panel mapping should be settled before sampling.
From concept to sample
Design around the panel grid and the realities of fired clay
Artwork should be simplified to suit the selected relief technique, clay body and firing process. Very fine lines, abrupt depth changes or vulnerable edges may need adjustment. LOPO can review vector artwork, dimensional drawings or a clear reference image and propose a practical sampling direction.
Where engraved panels are used as exterior cladding, the facade remains a non-structural rainscreen and must be engineered as a complete assembly. Interior feature-wall supports, substrate, fixings, edges and access should likewise be designed for the project. No acoustic or structural function should be assumed from the engraved surface alone.

Manufacturing and custom feasibility

Engraving method, relief, panel geometry, clay colour and firing must be assessed as one production proposal. Each custom pattern is reviewed project by project, and feasibility is confirmed only after artwork assessment, technical development and approval of a physical sample or mock-up.
