Read the 2019 long-format brick options before requesting a current sample
This archive preserves two recorded formats, handmade surface notes and five complete product images. It is a dated finish-and-format reference—not a current catalogue, installation specification or universal performance statement.

What the archived product record actually says
The 2019 update introduced two nominal formats in the order recorded by the source: 500 × 40 × 15 mm and 500 × 40 × 60 mm. It called them two thickness options but did not assign a product code, tolerances, corner unit, mass, packaging quantity or fixing system. The thinner and deeper units therefore need separate identification and assembly decisions; they are not interchangeable simply because their face dimensions match in the archive.
The post referred back to a China Resources University application associated there with Foster + Partners. Its claim that LOPO had developed the “first” long-format brick was promotional and lacked evidence for a market-wide priority claim, so it is not repeated. The useful historical point is narrower: by 2019, LOPO was presenting long horizontal brick proportions as a distinct exterior-wall design family.

Five complete archive images
The four body images remain in WXR order. The existing featured attachment is added last so it remains available at its full 379 × 284 stored size after post-scoped CSS suppresses the theme’s cropped duplicate. The colour and selection boards are intentionally shown whole and are clickable; no item numbers are visible on either board.
Turn the archive into a project selection
Identify the product and assembly
State whether the design needs a thin adhered veneer, a deeper facing unit or another supported cladding concept. Confirm the substrate, fixing or bond method, cavity or drainage strategy, movement joints and corner treatment with the responsible team.
Approve format, finish and range
Request current coded samples, nominal and work sizes, tolerances, corner pieces and an agreed colour/texture range. Review several units under project lighting; handmade variation must be defined rather than described as automatically better.
Build the coursing mock-up
Coordinate bond, joint width and colour, cut lengths, openings, returns, bases, parapets and interfaces. A lit mock-up can test shadow and relief, but lighting does not validate attachment or weather performance.
Request project evidence
Match current test reports and technical data to the exact unit, finish, system, substrate, exposure and jurisdiction. Include handling, packaging, spare stock, cleaning and replacement in the approval record.
Archive limits
- Do not use the 2019 dimensions as a current order schedule without written confirmation.
- Do not invent product codes for the unlabelled sample boards or match colour from screen photography.
- Do not treat irregular dimensions or handmade variation as proof of better performance.
- Do not assume one installation method, unlimited exterior/interior/floor use, or compatibility with every substrate.
- Do not claim fire, freeze-thaw, water, strength, adhesion, durability, colourfastness, low maintenance or environmental results without product- and project-specific evidence.
