This archive concerns the Economic Management Complex at the South Campus of Hunan University of Technology and Business in Changsha. The institution was called Hunan University of Commerce when the project was tendered; the Ministry of Education approved its current name in June 2019. The university records that Economic Management Building A was named Hengxuan Building at a ceremony on 9 November 2019.
The photographed complex combines red facade panels with extensive glazing and deep openings. A LOPO company article dated 16 February 2020 attributes approximately 20,000 m² of natural-red terracotta cladding to the project. That quantity and the product description remain dated supplier records, not a current order schedule.

From tender name to Hengxuan Building
The university’s November 2017 construction tender identifies the project as the Hunan University of Commerce Economic Management Complex, comprising an economic-management teaching building and an experimental and training building. It places the project on the South Campus Tongzipo Road site and gives an approximate total construction area of 63,000 m². The tender specified a planned 485-day construction period, but that programme is not proof of the actual completion date.
The university’s English archive confirms that the institution became Hunan University of Technology and Business in June 2019. A separate university record documents the 9 November 2019 naming ceremony for Economic Management Building A, which received the name Hengxuan Building. That official wording is narrower than the legacy article’s suggestion that the whole 63,000 m² complex shared the name.
A red panel field organized around teaching and laboratory spaces
The LOPO company archive dated 16 February 2020 describes an eight-storey teaching block and an eighteen-storey laboratory and training block connected by lower buildings. These storey counts are retained as supplier-published project information; the official tender confirms the two functional components but does not provide those heights on the reviewed page.
The images show red panel fields set beside large glazed zones, regularly spaced punched windows and deeper framed openings. This describes the visible composition only. It does not identify the hidden wall build-up, panel profile, module, thickness, surface code, fixing system, insulation, fire-stopping, drainage, structural support or interface responsibilities.

The 2020 company archive attributes approximately 20,000 m² of natural-red LOPO terracotta cladding to the project. It supports a dated manufacturer/supplier association, not facade design, engineering, installation or main-contract responsibility.
Unresolved team and product fields
The reviewed sources do not securely identify the architect, facade consultant, installer or approved model, dimensions and colour code. Those fields remain unfilled rather than inferred from later awards or photographs.
